SO….the Sparkadia, Operator Please & Alpine tour has come to an end.
WE MISS EVERYONE! Seriously such a fun tour, made lots of new friends that are definite gems & keepers. Our Perth set was plagued with technical difficulties but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have fun! We did & want to thank everyone that watched our set & clapped after songs.
Well, we are finally home and I think it is only now that we can take a breath and think back to what has happened in 2011 so far (and it’s still only April)! From Big Day Out to traveling overseas for SXSW, we finished by supporting Sparkadia on ‘The Great Impression’ album tour.
All cities were very welcoming and patient for us as a support act. We had the opportunity to try out a few of our new songs in the setlist which was very exciting and we will now be going away to continue the writing process in various different forms.
Here are our memorable tour moments:
- Ashley’s Jazzercise routine with Timmy’s lady April, and everyone’s dry humping white board graffiti in Newcastle.
- Being accused of trashing the Newcastle dressing room WHEN WE DIDN’T!
- Ryan from Alpine’s mum sending over UK Cadbury Cream Eggs!
- Eating too many which lead to vomitron
- Playing new tracks every night and hearing the response to them from the crowd.
- HOT BASEBALL CAP GUY IN ADELAIDE!
- Getting punk’d by Apline at the last show by replacing Ash’s avocado shaker with a real avocado.
- Getting to road trip again, and DJing some hot beats on the country roads.
- Watching Alpine and Sparkadia every night!
- Taylor’s birthday which was like a Skins party
- Timmy winning money at the casino
- Timmy losing said money
- Watching “The Lads” from Sparkadia get excited over a soccer ball
- Watching Henry stack it
- Party regret
- Siiick parties
- Too many party time
- Many delusional / shit talking we did on the plane
- Adrian thinking ” the cheese was too slow ”
- Dee the airplane hostess
- Loosley’s “tour rage” ( we love him )
ALL IN ALL VERY EVENTFUL.
Everyone is missed for sure.
So then – we will be doing some shows here & there in the next couple of months but will be back to focusing on writing / demoing / having some time off.
